CONTEST “YOUR DECOR, NOT PRETTY | WIN A DESIGN CONSULTATION AND $1000 OF BEAULIEU CANADA FLOORING! Public votes” (the “Contest”) by Emard Couvre-Planchers Inc.
Official contest rules (the “contest rules”).

ELIGIBILITY: Participants must have access to the Internet and possess a valid email address to participate in the contest. Any participant must be a resident of Quebec who has reached the age of majority at the time of registration. Employees of Emard Couvre-Planchers Inc. as well as immediate family members (spouses, spouses, parents, grandparents, children and siblings as well as their respective spouses) residing with an employee of Emard Couvre-Planchers Inc., its subsidiaries, its parent company or its affiliated companies, their respective advertising or promotion agencies, or the independent company responsible for organizing the contest are not eligible. Employees of BEAULIEU Canada as well as immediate family members (spouses, spouses, parents, grandparents, children and siblings as well as their respective spouses) residing with an employee of BEAULIEU Canada, its subsidiaries, its parent company or its affiliated companies, their respective advertising or promotion agencies, or the independent company responsible for organizing the contest are not eligible. Proof of identity and age must be provided upon request. This contest is void where prohibited.

All applications will be subject to eligibility evaluation according to the following criteria: location of the candidate’s residence within a radius of 50 km from the offices of Emard Couvre-Planchers Inc. at 195 rue de la Pointe-Langlois, Laval, Qc, H7L 3J4; and, the credibility of the candidate on these flooring renovation intentions.

CONTEST PERIOD: The contest begins on May 16, 2024 (“contest start date”) and ends on June 16, 2024 at 11:59 PM local time (“contest end date”).

TO PARTICIPATE:
During the contest period, participants can visit: <link url to the contest page on emardcp.com> to review the eligibility criteria and register. Each participant must complete the online form, indicate their acceptance of the official contest rules as well as Emard Couvre-Planchers’ privacy policy. Following this, the participation request will be evaluated according to admission criteria. Limit of one (1) entry per person, per household, during the contest period. The contest promotion applies only to a minimum purchase of X sq ft of BEAULIEU Canada brand flooring only and made before October 16, 2024 at Emard Couvre-Planchers Inc. PRIZE: The maximum retail value of the contest prize is $1000 CAD in credit on the minimum purchase of X sq ft of BEAULIEU Canada Inc. flooring only and made before December 15, 2022 at Emard Couvre-Planchers Inc. located at 195, rue de la Pointe-Langlois, Laval, QC. H7L 3J4. Sales taxes are excluded from the contest prize; the difference between the total purchase price of flooring at Emard Couvre-Planchers Inc. is not averaged if the cost of the purchase is lower or higher than $1000 before taxes. All other products and extras (installation materials, delivery and floor installation) offered at Emard Couvre-Planchers Inc. are not part of this prize. Contest entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on June 16, 2024 (“contest closing date”).

PRIZE AWARD:
The award of the contest prize to the winner, who will have received the most votes from the public, will take place on June 20, 2024 at 5:00 PM local time, in Laval, Quebec, by the management of Emard Couvre-Planchers Inc. Before being declared a winner, the elected person must correctly answer a mathematical question asked to them by phone or email, and sign a Declaration and Waiver form.

DECLARATION AND WAIVER:
The winning person will be required to sign a Declaration of compliance with the Contest Rules and Waiver of advertising/liability, confirming that they have complied with the contest rules, accepting their prize as is, and waiving the sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, parent company or related companies, their advertising and promotion agencies, their directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, participating retailers, agents, clerks, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively called the “Releasees”) from all claims, causes of action, suits, debts, claims, demands and liabilities of any nature whatsoever arising from or in connection with this Contest or the acceptance and( or) use of any prize, including without limitation, any claims alleging negligence, breach of contract as well as fundamental breach and liability in the event of bodily injury, death or property damage that any participant, their directors, heirs, successors or assigns may or may have in connection with the participation of the participant in this Contest or arising from it and( or) in connection with its acceptance and( or) use of any of the prizes. Declaration and Waiver documents must be returned within ten (10) business days following the date of notice, failing which the sponsor may, at its discretion, decide that the person(s) have waived their prize. Only when the potential winners have completed all the documents and the sponsor has verified them will the person be officially declared a winner and receive the prize. By entering the contest and accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, address, voice, statement(s), photo or other portrait, without compensation, in any advertising made by the sponsor or on their behalf, in any way, including print advertising, broadcast or Internet.

GENERAL:
By entering the contest, each participant agrees to be bound by the contest rules and the decisions of Emard Couvre-Planchers Inc., which will be final and binding, without appeal, in all respects of this contest including, but not limited to, eligibility and( or) disqualification of entries. Should it be determined that a participant has entered in a manner not sanctioned by the rules of this contest and( or) submitted a number of entries greater than that allowed under the rules of this contest or has not otherwise complied with the rules of this contest, this person will be disqualified. The sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, illegible, damaged, destroyed, lost, stolen, forged, falsified, altered, or tampered with entries, insufficiently franked entries or requests for entries, all of which will be considered null and void. Furthermore, the sponsor is not responsible for problems, errors, or negligence in relation to the contest, including without limitation, inaccurate or incomplete entry of any information or failure of the website during the promotional period, including without limitation, as a result of any technical problem or failure of any kind, including without limitation, hardware and software computer equipment, human or technical errors, printing errors, lost, deleted, rejected, incomplete or truncated data, communication or transmission interruptions, deletions, defects, or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, online computer systems and servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, non-receipt of any email or registration by the sponsor attributable to technical problems or congestion on the Internet or on any website or any combination of these causes, including without limitation any injury or damage suffered by a participant or a participant’s computer or another person and resulting from the reading or downloading of any promotional material, advertising errors, the selection and announcement of winners and( or) the awarding of any of the prizes.

The sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or terminate this contest due to a virus, bug, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control interfering with the security or proper administration of the contest. Any deliberate attempt to damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion constitutes a violation of civil and criminal rights and, in the event of any such attempt, the sponsor reserves the right to exercise recourse and claim damages up to the limits permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, non-compliant, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered, or tampered with in any way, or if they have been submitted by unlawful means, do not comply with or satisfy all the conditions of the rules of this contest.

In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of a winning person by reference to an email address, the winning entry will be deemed to have been made by the authorized account holder of the email address at the time of registration. The authorized account holder of an account is the natural person to whom an email address has been assigned by an Internet access provider, an online service provider, or any other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain name associated with the submitted email address.

All entries become the property of the sponsor and will not be returned. No communication will be entertained except with the eventual winner.

The sponsor reserves, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, the right to terminate this contest, to modify the rules of this contest at any time and without notice or with notice published in major national newspapers, at its sole discretion, in the event of any factor interfering with the proper conduct of this contest as provided by the Rules of this contest. The sponsor reserves the right to replace any prize in its entirety or any of its components. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. By entering the contest, all participants authorize the collection, use, and distribution of their personal information by the sponsor for the purpose of conducting this contest. Personal information may be collected, used, and stored by the sponsor in accordance with the privacy policy.

FOR RESIDENTS OF QUEBEC:
Any dispute regarding the conduct or organization of a promotional contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a decision. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, but only to assist the parties in reaching an agreement.
