Official Contest Rules (the “Contest Rules”)

ELIGIBILITY:

Participants must have Internet access and a valid email address to enter the contest. All participants must be Quebec residents and have reached the age of majority when registering. Employees of Bois Franc Steve Lavallée inc. and Emard Couvre-Planchers inc. as well as immediate family members (spouses, husbands, parents, grandparents, children and siblings as well as their respective spouses) domiciled with an employee of Bois Franc Steve Lavallée inc. and Emard Couvre-Planchers inc., of its subsidiaries, its parent company or affiliated companies, their respective advertising or promotional agencies, or the independent company of the organization of the contest are not eligible. Proof of identity and age must be provided upon request. This contest is void where prohibited.

CONTEST PERIOD:

The contest begins on November 5th, 2020 (“contest start date”) and ends on December 18th, 2020 at 11:59 pm local time (“contest end date”).

TO PARTICIPATE :

Each participant must complete the online form, indicate their acceptance of the official contest rules as well as the confidentiality policy and then, like the Bois Franc Steve Lavallée inc. Facebook page. Any eligible participant will automatically obtain one (1) entry. Limit of one (1) entry per person, per household, during the contest period. The contest promotion applies only to the purchase of flooring or on a staircase at Bois Franc Steve Lavallée inc.. PRIZE: The maximum retail value of the contest prize is CA $500 in credit on the purchase on flooring or staircase at Bois Franc Steve Lavallée inc. located at 16895 Hymus Blv, Kirkland, QC H9H 3L4.

The purchase must be made before May 31, 2021; sales taxes are excluded in the mentioned competition prize; the difference between the total price of the purchase of flooring or staircase at Bois Franc Steve Lavallée inc. is not averageable if the cost of the purchase is less or more than $500 before taxes. All other products and extras (installation materials, delivery and physical installation) offered at Bois Franc Steve Lavallée inc. are not part of this price. Contest entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on December 18th, 2020 (“Contest Closing Date”).

PRIZE DRAW:

A random draw  will be held for the award of the contest prize to the winner and take place on December 21st, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. local time, in Laval, Quebec, by tBois Franc Steve Lavallée inc. owners, from among all eligible entries received at the latest on the competition closing date. Three (3) attempts to contact the recipient will be made at the email address provided on the registration form, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. during a period of seven (7) days. If it is not possible to contact the winner within this seven (7) day period, he or she will be deemed to have forfeited the prize, he or she will be disqualified and the name of another ( 1) participant will be drawn from among the other eligible entries until contact is made with the person chosen or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first. The Sponsor will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact selected entrants. The odds of winning the contest prize are strictly based on the number of entries received before the contest closing date. Before being declared a winner, the selected person must correctly answer a math question that will be asked by phone or email, and sign a Declaration and Release form.

DECLARATION AND DISCLAIMER:

The winner will be required to sign a Declaration of Compliance with the Contest Rules and Disclaimer of Publicity / Liability Form, confirming that they have complied with the contest rules, that they accept their prize as is, that they release the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, parent or related companies, their advertising and promotional agencies, their directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, participating retailers, agents, clerks, representatives, successors and respective rights holders (collectively called the “waivers”) of all remedies, grounds for appeal, lawsuits, debts, claims, demands and responsibilities of any kind in connection with this Contest or the acceptance and / or use of any prize, including without limitation, any claims of negligence, breach of contract as well as fundamental breach of and liability for bodily injury, death or property damage that any participant, their directors, heirs, successors or assigns may or may have in relation to the participation of the participant in or resulting from this Contest and / or in relation to his or her acceptance and / or use of one of the prizes. 

The Declaration and Release documents must be returned within ten (10) business days of the date of the notice, failing which the Sponsor may then, at its discretion, decide that the person (s) will have waived its price. Only when potential winners have completed all paperwork and the Sponsor has verified them, will the person be officially declared the winner and receive the prize. By participating in the contest and accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, address, voice, statement (s), photo or other portrait, without remuneration, in any advertising carried out by the Sponsor or on its behalf in any way, including print, air or Internet advertising.

GENERAL:

By participating in the contest, each participant agrees to be bound by the contest rules and the decisions of Bois Franc Steve Lavallée inc., decisions which will be final and binding, without right of appeal, with respect to all aspects of this contest including but not limited to, eligibility and / or disqualification from entries. 

In the event that it is determined that a participant has entered in a manner not sanctioned by the rules of this contest and / or has submitted a number of entries greater than what is permitted under the rules of this contest or did not respect the rules of this contest in any other way, that person will be disqualified. The Sponsor declines all responsibility for incomplete, illegible, damaged, destroyed, misplaced, stolen, falsified, late or misdirected entries, entries or requests for entry with insufficient postage, which will all be considered void.

The authorized account holder is the natural person to whom an email address has been assigned by an Internet service provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the name of the domain associated with the submitted email address.

All entries become the property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. No communication will be maintained except with the eventual winner. The sponsor reserves, subject to the approval of the “Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec”, the right to end this contest, to modify the rules of this contest at any time and without notice or with notice. published in major national newspapers, in its sole discretion, in the event of any factor interfering with the proper conduct of this contest as provided for in the Rules of this contest. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize as a whole or any of its components. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.

TO QUEBEC RESIDENTS:

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the “Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux” for a decision. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the “Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux”, but only with a view to help the parties reach a settlement.
